The iPhone 14 was announced by Apple at a launch event in the US, featuring emergency satellite connectivity and car crash detection technologies. According to BBC, an audience attended in person for the first time since the pandemic, as the firm unveiled four variations of the new handset at its Cupertino headquarters. The next-generation iPhone, Watch, and AirPod products were the main emphasis of the event. It also displayed the Watch Ultra, a brand-new wearable for extreme sports.
Apple watch series 8
A few of the new features of Apple Watch Series 8 includes Car crash detection, temperature sensors to track ovulation cycles, and a new low-power mode. According to Apple, the information on its devices would be encrypted and only accessible with a passcode or biometrics.
Apple suggested that a new automatic retrospective ovulation notice could be helpful for infertile couples. If turned on, the new watch can track body temperature every five seconds during the night and identify minute variations that may indicate ovulation.
In the US, the Apple Watch Series 8 starts at $399, while it costs £419 in the UK.
Apple watch ultra
Ultra marathoner Scott Jurek of Born to Run made an appearance in the unveiling for the new watch, which concentrated on a larger face design for use in extreme sports. Apple guarantees that its clients will have enough power to finish an ultra-triathlon, which entails swimming, cycling, and running, with the promise that all ultra watches have a battery life of up to 36 hours on a single charge and an extended battery life of 60 hours.
